WORCESTER, MASSACHUSETTS: Audrey Marie Santo lies in a coma in her home in Worcester, MA. on August 10, 2002. On August 9, 1987, when she was 3, she nearly drowned in her grandmother's swimming pool. An overdose of Phenobarbital at the hospital resulted in a coma like state called Akinetic Mutism. Unable to move (except for fingers and eyes) Little Audrey remains on life support at home. It has also been claimed that Audrey sometimes bore the stigmata. Audrey's parents claimed miracles in the home including icons weeping blood or oil, a bleeding statue of Jesus, consecrated hosts bleeding, blood appearing spontaneously in a tabernacle, oil dripping down the walls of the garage, and the Virgin Mary appearing in cloud formations overhead. Audrey Santo died from cardio-respiratory failure on April 14, 2007 in her home. (Photo by Robert Falcetti). .
